Southern Vales First Aid have designed a course to give teens the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver first aid and CPR, and know how to respond in an emergency situation.
In a hands-on, fun, and easy to follow learning environment you will learn the skills to be able to provide basic first aid and CPR at home, or when out with friends. You will also learn how to help your friends with asthma, allergic reactions, sprains, strains, snake bites and fractures.
We recommend this course to:
- Teens aged 12-17
Southern Vales First Aid requests that anyone under the age of 18 has a signed permission form filled out by a parent or guardian before commencing this course. Alternatively, we offer other non-accredited courses suitable for children and parents to participate in together.

- Basic Life Support – DRSABCD
- Performing CPR
- Choking
- Asthma
- Severe allergic reaction
- Bleeding and wound care
- Bites and stings
- Sprains and Strains

Learning Outcomes:
- On completion of this non-accredited training, all students will receive a Certificate of Completion

Learning Methods:
There is no formal or written assessment for this training. During the session there will be a combination of practical activities, role play and interaction with the trainer. Nervous about being in front of a group with practical tasks? While it is a serious topic, we want you to relax and enjoy your time with us so don’t be scared about the tasks. We do require students to pair up for some practical activities, so for those a little anxious around new people, we recommend doing the course with a friend. We recommend this for our non-accredited and accredited tasks.
